Hello Africa Kabisa Listeners! As of October 2013, this site is now the official website for WMBR’s Africa Kabisa radio show. (I will no longer be using the Yahoo Groups site.)
I hope to include on this site information on African events in the Boston area, program playlists, information on interviews with guests and new releases of note, and more.
In other major news, starting this month Africa Kabisa will be broadcasting every other Sunday 4-6pm on WMBR 88.1fm. We will be alternating with the Latin music show “Si No Hay Material,” hosted by Amy Battisti-Aché.
I have been hosting Africa Kabisa every Sunday since 1992, and find that I’ve reached a point where I need a bit of a break! This new schedule will give you an opportunity to continue to enjoy the best in African music, while also hearing more of the best in Latin sounds.
